Just about to arrange a big service for my GS and just wanted to check with those far more knowledgable than me.

'04 GS, last service was at 11,000 Miles about to hit 32,000 Miles.

So when I arrange the service what sort of things will they be recommending that needs to be done.

I know they may spot a problem or two but just wanted a rough idea of what I should be expecting.

All fluids for a start if its by the book. Engine, gearbox and FD oil plus brake fluid. Air and oil filter along with valve clearances and throttle balance. Not sure when the plugs are due but they will be checked and replaced if needed. Everything else will be poked pulled and prodded to make sure its within spec, pads, disks, bearings and all that. Anything else needing done will be down to what they find either via the computer or with the aforementioned.

You can't really do anything extra that isn't done on a 24K mile service.

It's surprisingly running well considering it's clocked up 21,000 miles this year.
Booked in for next Friday and hopefully it'll be like having a new partner when we go out at the weekend

Service done and it's like I've been riding a fat bird on roller skates for the last couple of thousand miles.
It's like a new bike and today was pure pleasure when out.

I should think that with top ups he's probably replaced the oil several times over during 21,000 miles.
