Servicing advice and parts

Hi all, i need help!

Out here in Iraq at the moment but need to service my '99 1150gs(abs)
on my return in November. I'm looking at getting all i need in ready for when i get back.My questions are,

1. Can anyone give me a list of all the items i will need (done approx 30.000m)

2. Can anyone recommend sellers of the above, including oil filter removal tool

3. Plugs- Have i read somewhere about maybe platinum plugs or dual fire or something, and if so where can i get them?

4. Cheapest place for K&N filters

5. Any possible advice on sevicing tips would be greatly appreciated

Once again any advice, prices etc is mostly appreciated, as i need all the help i can get, as you can imagine being stuck over here and limited to 30 min slots online makes things really difficult, although my good lady wife is always there with the credit card!

30k is a small service so no need to do the fuel filter in the tank. You're really looking at air & oil filter, plugs and engine/gearbox/diff oil. Plus check and adjust valves & throttle bodies.

I get all my bits and pieces from Moto-Bins but you could also try your local dealer / Motorworks / Sherlocks. Though I don't use a K&N filter or the plugs you mention.

The very easiest thing to do would be to pm Steptoe on here as he is the guru when it comes to this sort of thing

Hi Silver Fox,as Twotter has said.Steptoe i probably the best person to contact.He can send bits out and has written servicing guides on this forum.Check them out.
