Servicing in Berkshire

Hi, I have recently purchased my first BMW R1200 GS and absolutely love it. I would like to get it serviced and checked over before I put lots of miles on it. I have contacted the local dealer in Maidenhead via their website and phoning them. However they are just not getting back so can anyone recommend a servicing point near to Reading in Berkshire. Didn't think I would have to keep chasing a dealer to ask them to service my bike :-( Thanks for any guidance that can be offered!

Do yourself a huge favour and get our very own Steptoe to do it http://www.gsshop.biz/. He's in West London so not far away and will sort your bike out a treat. NOG are pretty good but Steptoe goes the extra mile and you will have complete confidence your bike will be spot on

Monkeyboi, I may be able to help you, what year is your GS and what level of service do you require?

Not sure how old your bike is but I would thoroughly recommend Gary Webb in Bracknell 01344 860580. He is an independent working out of a couple of lock ups. A regular at TVAM and a BMW specialist. The guys a Bahnstormers know him well. Uses genuine BMW parts and has all the diagnostic stuff. Very good bloke with huge knowledge...and a great taste in jazz which is usually playing....and he has a loan bike as well.

Thank you for everyone's replies. As the bike is still under warranty I went with a dealer this time. Chatted with BMW North Oxford and they were very helpful indeed. Bahnstormer finally provided pricing and a few extras to apologise for the poor service when trying to contact them. Took the bike in, they had a nice r1200r waiting for me. Mot and service promptly actioned during the day. Valet done and ACF-50 protection added. Had a discussion about clothing and they were happy to offer a generous discount on their stock. For the moment, as they are nearby and well-priced will stick with them. However if costs go up once out out of warranty then will be getting in touch with Gary Webb as read a lot of great reviews about his service.

You don't need to have your bike serviced at a BMW dealer within the warranty period to maintain your bike's warranty
