To be fair I am a bit cross
Had first service and the panniers which have arrived put on !
Can't get the key in one to take it off and the barrels of the locks come out on all the other locks !

Not to mention the oil that has pissed out everywhere as they didn't tighten the oil filler cap !!

Absolutely, you should.:thumb

And we want pictures of the bike on the back of the recovery truck.:rob:beerjug:

Well done for getting it as far as its first service :clap

Let's be fair
The bike is great with no issues at all yet although it does get a bit warm under the right leg , the gearbox is nice and the GAP is awesome the suspension is lovely and compliant. I'm just a bit cross with the pannier locks as I am having 2 days in wales starting Monday and I can't remove a panniers or lock the others properly and the dealer is closed now until Tuesday so there is bugger all I can do until Wednesday whereupon I shall inconvenience myself to get it sorted !

When I collected my panniers two weeks after the bike the first thing I checked was the lock barrels.

I put my key in and turned it slightly and yanked like a bugger to pull the lock out but they were all solid.

When I watched James at NOG put the lock in the top box he did exactly the same. I think a lot of dealer forget to push them home firmly or forget to instal the final locking wafer. I believe these locks are a slightly different design :nenau

Oil filter is tech error and should not happen. I would suggest a diplomatic chat and get some discount on your next service or something.

Hope you get sorted for Wales :thumb2

I'm going to wales regardless !
The panniers are on and they work albeit without being able to lock them properly but that will not spoil a good trip
What's the worst that can happen !

All my locks are secure but the pannier locks when trying to lock it to the bike Are shite, feels like you are going to snap the key. The exhaust side is twice as bad as the left one.
I am lucky and have only minor issues with my bike so far but it does piss you off.

Wonder what the KTMs are like Terry

I was just thinking of booking mine in for the 6000 service, for a change. I normally do my own, think I shall continue hearing of technician fails like this put me off. I've had issues in the past and all have been caused after service.

Cheers Terry

After a thoroughly enjoyable 2 days and 587 miles in wales I can report that the bike is fucking fantastic but I do wish the dealer had re set the service indicator after it's first service
Not bloody good enough really

Also I fitted the lock barrels myself and they are very secure, my only issue with them is the right pannier is very stiff to lock on to the bike. But I've been assured it will ease.

Why can't mechanics do bolts up or fit things correctly any more, they're working on our pride and joys for Christ sake.

Terry
