On looking further at the Android apps there don't seem to be many that are worth the bother. To my albeit not extensive research many of those that seem to have been coded are really just tweaked web page functionality, such as ebay for example, and since the browsing capability of the PB is so good it doesn't warrant fiddling about with to side load in my view.
The PB app list is, well, sparse to say the least, although if I want to purchase a map of Cameroon that seems to be available..
A couple of apps I'm finding useful:
MapApp - which presents Google Maps (the native BB browser doesn't seem to like it very much)
Get It Done - A very nice task and to-do list manager
PodCat seems to be the best Podcast manager, but it isn't saying much, it's very clunky.
As for the Native apps I've found the contact functionality particularly decent, which makes sense given BB's business device orientation, bringing in all of my Google, Facebook and Linked In details to the Contacts component.
The messaging functionality is similarly useful bringing together e-mail accounts and the message components of the above, too
On the note of films I've burned a number of films to MP4 using DVDfab and quickly nipped them onto the PB. The video play quality of the device is excellent.
Other than that very much enjoying a super device for absolute buttons!
