But the GS isn't exactly a design of form over function is it???
It's big and ugly but it's the most practical well rounded bike on earth....no-one buys them just for the looks
I've had an Alaskan butt pad for a year, and initially I was a great supporter....it's certaily been a comfy bit of kit, dries well as has been said, warms, cools, does everything everone's said.
However, mine's only been on the bike for 10 of the 20 k it's done, and even so it looks tatty as hell.......so much so that I can't bring meself to use it anymore.
The elastics had to be replaced with cut to measure webbing and quick release toggles as well, as the elastic frayed to buggery.
Certainly I'd get another fleece, but I'm not convinced of the quality of the alaskan butt pad one.......even though the service was abslutely tip top and Barb herself is a lovely Lady.
