And I now realise the box was actually worse than I thought, all gears are now noticeably smoother to select up and down, 5th and 6th were the worst but I can tell that even 1-4 were struggling a bit, happy days.

Oh yes, they showed me. A depression had worn in one of the channels of the selector drum which the fork was sticking in. They believe the little bearing on the end of the fork had partially seized causing the wear. The actually changed the drum, all 3 selector forks and the rails they run on, plus all new oil seals etc. Where you been hiding Steve, I heard on the grapevine that Euro K may be resurrected?
