Shift assist operation

Bit of an aside, I saw the mechanic 'test ride' it out of the workshop 50 yards or so and park it up. I saw immediately the Auxiliary Lights were not on. When handed the keys back I asked the question if Default Factory Settings would have been restored as part of the update process, quizzed look from reception girl who went and asked the mechanic. He came out and asked what & why I was asking, when I said no Aux lights on now, did you save the personalised settings that were on the bike or have they been restored to Factory Default, (to me that's a yes or no answer?) I was told 'maybe' they have gone back to Factory Default and he went back to the workshop. So annoyingly for me ALL of 'my' individualised settings for Ride Modes, Alarm/Auto Lights/Digital Speedo displayed etc weren't backed up and restored during the update process. I didn't have the Manual on me and couldn't remember all the steps required to adjust them then so left and sorting them out at home later that night. Loss of Brownie Points for the dealer not considering this, though wouldn't you think that the Software Update would do that automatically!?
!

Had mine at dealers and SNAP, exactly same all settings back to defaults.

6k done on mine today, and in the 10 miles home, I couldn't notice any difference in the GSAP. I'll go out for a few hours tomorrow to test it properly. It seems with the software update, that someone has stolen the digital speedo, as I can't see it anywhere in the computer.

My dealer gave me the update sheets and it did say there was an update to the instrumentation wasn't sure what it was though, but that could be it? Don't use it myself as I use the Nav5.

All sorted. Took about 20 seconds!:D

Now, re the GSAP update, I can't notice any difference whatsoever, and did about a gazillion gear changes on my 150 mile ride today!:P Is the update that noticeable, as I'll check with the dealer in the morning if they actually did it or not?

Great, bit of teamwork!

Mine is, really used to clunk & lurch previously so I would mainly only use clutch 1>2>3 and back (ok 4/5/6) before, happy to use the GSAP throughput now up & down and sounds way better too. I've not had a Hilltop though probably not relevant. Strange you have no difference?

I had the bike over to the dealer today. The GSAP was seized and replaced under warranty. Cant see how Park Lane BMW didn't notice it not working??

Anyway, its working perfectly and the bike is even more awesome now!!
