Looking maybe to buy one...there are some real price variations out there. Helmet city at £679.99 for the flouro colour TC3 I think one I want and same one at Motocard at £559.29.
That's a huge difference. Anyone bought from Motocard before?

I've bought clothing from Motocard prior to brexit. A couple of Alpinestars jackets and boots
Great to deal with
They used to have an option to pay £4.99 to include free return
Items came from Spain

Motocentral used to give 10% discount to UKGSER members. Might be worth a call to them, or just try UKGSER in the discount code field if ordering online.

It still works . Use it all the time then price beat with Motolegends for a further 10% off

If it’s of any interest to anyone, I have been using my Neotec 3 and the latest Sena ‘Mesh 3’ (or whatever it’s called) solidly for the past two days.

1. No leaks in pouring rain.

2. No steaming up, despite big variations in temperature and a lot of dampness. In short, the Pinlock worked perfectly.

3. Very clear sound (navigation instructions) from my XT and Samsung S10 phone, the latter running MyRoute’s Navigation app in its latest form. As I don’t listen to music or make calls when on the move, I have no idea what they might sound like, nor am I going to find out.

4. Using the communication only for navigation instructions, the Sena battery easily lasted all day, reducing only from full to medium.

5. All day long comfortable, I guess because the helmet’s shape suits my head, without having Shoei’s custom fit services.

As expected , I’m finding my new Neotec 3 heavy but perhaps I’ll get used to it. The chin strap , I find , is more like a neck strap ; perhaps I have a weird anatomy. Still getting used to it .

Phone Martin at Helmet City, West Bay on 01308 421465. Ask for his best price. There's often a deal to be done and he matches UK prices.

I've also been a recent convert to a Neotec 3 with the Sena comms:
  1. Comfort is exceptional - padding seems v plush.
  2. Versatility - superb. I do enjoy being able to flip up at traffic lights and close up at higher speeds.
  3. Inner visor - very handy and easy to operate.
  4. Integration with Zumo - all works well.
  5. PFS - I have been using Arai helmets for years but as they dont have a modular I bought the Neotec. I opted for a PFS and still notice some pressure points after an hour's riding so will have to have the fitting revisited again. They used to say that you have an Arai or a Shoei - time will tell if this is true or not...

The Arai or Shoei shaped head is a thing of the past, if it ever really existed. I have worn Shoeis for years and find them really comfortable. I currently have a GT Air 2 and a Hornet but the Arai Profile V is the most comfortable helmet I have worn. I still prefer Shoeis as I find the visor action better, like the dropdown sun visor and the visors are much easier to change. Arai think integral sun visors compromise structural integrity. Other manufacturers disagree.
If I planned on crashing, I'd want an Arai. For riding, I prefer a Shoei. Just my choice.

When my Neotech 2 bites the dust, I'd have no hesitation about going to the Neotech 3. Fabulous helmets and you get used to the weight soon enough. All day comfortable and the Sena integrated MESH comms is brilliant.

I had to sell my Neotec 2 as just couldn’t get the chin strap with buckle to fit comfortably. It always seemed to dig into my Adams apple. Others don’t have this issue, but worth considering (I assume the mk3 has the same buckle fastening?).

I had exactly the same issue

Yes , Neotec 3 chinstrap is also too far back. I’ve got used to it , but still not good .

Which only goes to prove that, what suits one bod’s head and physiology, might well not suit another bod’s.
