Well im 5 8" with 29 in inseam and managed a full grown GSA without any problems despite being, what the two Trolls above say isnt normal. Ignore them, they are just idiots with only half a brain between them. Confidence is everything, so just get whatever suits you and that you feel comfortable with.:thumb:D

No worries ;) 5'8" thats fekin giant territory ;)

I'm damned sure the lowered chassis GS has a low seat as standard. I have one. The seat has two positions. Actually, the seat has one position that fits either of the two positions the frame mounts offer.

Ackshurely, that may not be true. The seat on my low chassis GS looks like it's the standard seat, with a part number ending 2736 (and not listed on RealOEM). The BMW sales blurb says the low chassis bikes are supplied with a low seat. I have recently heard that it's not unknown for the factory to fit the wrong bits. A chum ordered a 1250 recently with the comfort seat. The seat was anything other than comfort and when he challenged the dealer, was told it was the correct seat. Turned out it was the standard seat (part number ending 2736) and not the comfort seat he'd ordered. He's since collected the correct seat for the dealer.

Yes seat numbering is an arcane art

i thinks is because there are two varients of each seat, so you get a Low & a comfort Low, a Std and a comfort std, and a High and a comfort High

But to make things obscure they just call them comfort seats lol

I have a TT/KH ultralow seat, its part number comes up as an an american comfort low via TT real oem dosent list it

It is definatly an ultralow seat, as i compared it to the pics posted online ;)

you can tweak the factory low seat lower with offset bobbins 10mm i think & if you pull the small plugs in the base of the seat can get another 5mm or so lower
