Should I have a lock for this......

Should I have a lock that fits in this little 'ole? I'm certain when I bought the bike three and a bit years ago that the guy said there was a lock keyed to my ignition key....I know I should have thought about it sooner, but I never needed to carry a big pack instead the rear seat before.....

there should be a little plastic plate to bung up that hole with the relevant steel loop to fit the seat lock mechanism in the tool kit area somewhere.

Have a look in the tool kit , mine lives in there it's a plastic bit that fits in 't' ole and snaps onto the locking bar under it. right hand side front of the tool box i think there's a retaining clip that holds it in.

Phenomenon!

Been riding my GS for 25k miles these last two years and have wondered what that little plastic doohickey was for! I have asked other owners who simply look blank at me - or say they haven't got one.
