Guess what caused the dent in the tank?
Yeap you are right....now that hurt
2001 was an eventful year, written off one 1200cc Triumph, One private hire taxi ( into driver door/ pillar)/ My nuts healed eventually and the compensation bought a Porsche Spyder replica, and a newer bike

not my classics....

.....but I'm sure they'll be of interest,

built by my mate Bill Kelday, guitar maker and ex classic racer. now retired from racing, because you can't make guitars with your arm in a sling. my old TBS in the background:

built for racing, converted for the road (including a nice wee alternator drive) 920cc Nourish race motor (180' crank) in a wideline featherbed. tank by 'the tank shop' but various other bits like the seat made by Bill. the unusual bars it has (for a cafe racer) are because of Bill's racing injuries.

this bike was Bill's first classic racer, now owned by Andy Duncan:

also thought you might like a look at this lovely wee beemer I saw at scrutineering for last year's pre-tt classics at Billown:

It's an SFC750. The Montjuic was a 500. I've owned two of them over the years.

Yeap the only bike I would leave the GS for would be a MINTER of a Norton Commander, fully kitted for touring.....:rob

I guess that makes me sad but I used to ride the Police spec ones.
Loved them when they worked ( so not a lot then) but I'd never cane my own as I have to pay to fix it......

Perhaps I'll buy one when I retire ( 2008)

Ahhhh one day

A few of my old steeds

My very first road legal bike Honda SS50-5 speed which later had a C70 top end bodged onto it, but didn't improve performance that much. Nice period Centurion lid too :-D

Second GS

2nd GS with the red seat fitted and dodgy topbox removed.

Current classics include totally original CX500 from 1981 with only 3000 miles from new. Needs indicators and front cowl painted, as the previous owner had a horrendous 80s fairing fitted.
