One day I bought the motorcycle news to look at the adverts as I had cash and I wanted either a cbx or a gpz 1100B2. So me and a couple of mates jumped in the car and headed south from Northumberland and I wasn’t coming home without a new toy. I looked at a few bikes and they were not up to my fussy spec. By this time I was in Leicester and had pulled in for petrol and got speaking to the pump attendant who told me his mate was selling a CBX with 5000mls on it. He rang him and he was in (pre mobile phones) He rode it to the garage and I checked it over and bought it there and then. It had a 6 into 6 set of pipes that I had never seen before and had a great note Alan my mate had to ride it home for me as I was the only one insured to drive the car and he had his own bike insurance. I bought this in 1983 with 5000mls on it. I used it for three years, even touring the south of France on it. I then sold it to Alan my mate that had rode it home for me, as he had drooled over it all the time I had it. This was in 1986 and it had 19000mls on when I sold it to him. He hardly used it and it went in to storage in 1988. It has just come back on the road this year with 21000mls on it, and he brought it down to my house on Sunday 8th august this year. Since 1986 until 2010 it has only done 2900mls. This has not been restored it is as clean as the day I sold it to him he has put a set of pipes on it as he sold the 6 into 6

I sold it for £1400. I told him i would give him a profit £1401. He told me if ever he decides to sell it i have first refusal

Another FJ. I picked this up earlier this weeK: 1996, two owner, non ABS bike with 17k miles, 10 months MOT and 2 months tax. It also has service history and every MOT. Came with a scott oiler and Clymer manual. It needs a little bit of cosmetic work but otherwise it's in excellent condition 
FJ prices are rock bottom but good ones are getting few and far between unfortunately.

Love the RD03 and the 1200GSA and always fancied a Duc....but I'm to big and more to the point Too OLD ! ( for the Duc)
