Show us your Classic M/C

I thought you'd sold the RS, Rob ??

I have Proff. The new owners flying over this weekend. I'm trailering it down to the Ace Cafe on Sunday morning. He'll be riding it straight back to La Rochelle from there.

I have finally got my mitts on a 1983 Gpz 1100 (ZX1100-A2). I have been looking for a while but they are getting hard to find with a lot having been street fightered or messed around with.
The Unitrack was well regarded when it was released in the early 80s but then Kawasaki released the Gpz900 which ran rings around the aircooled 1100 and relegated it to the has beens. Still, the Gpz 1100 was the last of the venerable 2 valve Z engines and still a pretty quick motorcycle. This one needs a bit of light restoration (which I hope to do over the winter) but otherwise seems in good order. A big Thank's to Proff for collecting it for me :)

Beutifull, ive had two of those, always regretted selling them, i may have a workshop manual hiding away somewhere if u need one.:thumb

Bought my 1983 GPZ1100 A1 Unitrac in Feb this year, likewise been looking around for ages and finally found a decent complete runner for restoration.
Owned 2 of these years ago, they where only in production for 3 years and where used as a test bed for new technology e.g. anti dive, digital fuel injection, unitrac suspension etc.
Restoration has been started, staying original as much as I can, luckily I have 2 sets of wheels, 2 tanks, side panels, tail piece, but need a fairing, then I can have an original paint set and a custom set.

I have been toying with the idea of a classic for a little while so a couple of months ago saw this advertised and thought what the hell...Its a 1932 New Imperial Model 30.

Bought it off a guy who hadnt used it for 2 yrs but she started up fine and flew through the MOT. Now I have got used to it, starts 2nd or 3rd kick and runs really well. Done about 50 miles on her, I just love pootling around in the evening, it's such a hoot to ride as it's quite loud and pops and bangs on the over run. Hand gearchange took a fair bit of getting used to but at least brake pedal is on correct side!!

Apparently the New Imperial's were well ahead of their time, this Model 30 is of 'Unit Construction' which means engine and gearbox are together, at the time it was thought it would never catch on because it supposedly hindered maintenance. Also has an electric horn and coil ignition, a lot of features were not seen for another 20 years on some other brit manufacturers. I understand they had about 7 wins at the TT on similar machines. The ride is great, not nearly as bumpy as you expect being un-sprung at the rear. She has a good turn of speed and I got her up to about 50 down the seafront the other night :augie

Their advanced designs combined with the depression of the early 1930's put New Imperial on the road to decline before their eventual demise in 1939.

Me too... I hadn't thought about a New Imperial, but I've got to say, I think you made a good call there.

Tucked away in front of a original mini cooper S with only 17k on the clock is a Goldstar thats never been messed with and a velo venom that was restored some years ago and somewhere there's another bsa.

Nobody seems to have one of these. Am I unique or have I made a huge error?

Rajdoot

A friend of mine crossed the Himalayas on an Indian copy of an RD350 called a Rajdoot. I was impressed.
