I have had this one for a while now

After fitting a new magneto, well the original was still on there after 42 years, it has done the trip from Glasgow to the south coast and back again without so much as a single misfire. I almost feel guilty at adding 2,000 miles in less than one year to the 18,500 that it had done from new.

Original and unrestored.

That's lovely. :thumb2

Are they Craven panniers by any chance?

Dazzer................

Nice matchless dazzer, but why not a dual seat - the old single saddle looks wrong on a bike that late.

Ride safe,

Shad.

After a long wait, I have finally managed to find a RD250. It's 1978 with 16k miles, sold new by Les Smale the local dealer and with 2 owners, both old school friends of mine.
It runs perfectly but has suffered a little from being stored in a workshop from 1981 until a couple of years ago, when it was put back on the road. It will need tidying. Total original except the headlight which is from a later model, it's getting hard to find these with the original frame/engine/keys.
These were the biggest and baddest bikes you could put L plates on at the time. I tore around Devon leaving a blue fog behind me and generally riding like the lunatic 17 year old I was :D I guess it can be called a classic now.

Lovin' the RD, I wish I was still as skinny as I was in 88 when I had mine (S Plate 250) so I wouldn't look too daft on another, or an LC.

Are they Craven panniers by any chance?

Yes, they are. Complete with original high security locks.:D I don't have a key
but if I ever felt the need to actually lock them I'm sure that a bent nail would do the job.

A big improvement. 350 or 500?

However I'd be giving that front brake some attention if you're going to ride it!

Something a bit different for this site. Sold one of these a couple of years ago, probably for a lot less than it was worth... :blast

...oops, just noticed the "V8" bit. That IS a bit different. :D

Nearly finished, not back to original and still need to finish the number plate holder, but all road legal, had to make the righ side panel as can't find one anywhere and will need a new rear zorst soon, but can wait and be ridden now.

Bloody hell........ I Googled "White Power" and came up with..............

Yeah random Googling can be a problem - for instance when googling 'Gary Oldman' . . . dont miss out the letter 'R', or you'll be in for a right shock

I like the 500, very nice

Snap
the 5OOLC, KH & Zed were all about 1988 (I had binned the LC and messed up the feiring - and mistakenly chose to have a dream machine 'Kocinski Rep' paint job with the insurance payout . . yuck, what was i thinking, still it went with the paddock jacket & hi-top trainers look of the time

The 350 YPVS was a restoration project i did a couple of years ago (at GREAT exspense - i cringe when i think how much!). I had always wanted one this colour - but never happened upon one !
