Not mine, but I've been doing a lot of digging about sidecars and how to build them, toe in, rake and various complimacated formulii on how to set them all up etc etc etc......in doing this, I came across a classic that I've fallen in love with.....I don't know why, but I think this is absolutely stunnningly gorgeous

Bought my 1983 GPZ1100 A1 Unitrac in Feb this year, likewise been looking around for ages and finally found a decent complete runner for restoration.
Owned 2 of these years ago, they where only in production for 3 years and where used as a test bed for new technology e.g. anti dive, digital fuel injection, unitrac suspension etc.
Restoration has been started, staying original as much as I can, luckily I have 2 sets of wheels, 2 tanks, side panels, tail piece, but need a fairing, then I can have an original paint set and a custom set.

And how she looks now, almost finished, new pipe being created over next few weeks, original red livery was beyond saving, but had two sets to play with, have now found a sprayer who will either redo back to fire cracker red with either decals applied or he can air brush them. more pics to follow.

Why didn't you have the original decals copied exactly ?

I have found a couple of sources that can provide decal kits, just awaiting some promised samples before final desicion is made.
Also found a silk screen printers who will reproduce a set from the originals on my spare set.
The green paint set she's dressed in at the moment is just to have her up and running after numerous failed promises (the less said the better).

Just got it last week end. 26 years old, 21k miles, original pipes.

Saw an old Triumph displayed at the classic Uttoxeter show a couple of years ago which had been stood in someones back garden for a number of years, a tree had grown through the bike in a similar way, the tree had eventualy been cut top and bottom to release the bike, quite a sight

Erling Poppe's S7 design must have raised a few eyebrows when it was launched after the war. A real gentleman's tourer. This one was rebuilt about 20 years ago and hasn't been used much so a few gently runs are the order of the day to start with. The engine and gearbox will benefit from a polish as well.
