Show us your K bike

I've just picked up this lovely K100RS 16v.
1991,26k miles and was a one owner bike up until 2013,now 3.
In the flesh you'd think it was 2 years old!
It's nice to own and ride a "time-warp" bike especially to experience a tight handling bike that shows no signs of wear.

I'm very pleased. :thumby:

What a cracking bike - they really did build the early K bikes to a high standard.

It's a shame that BMW now build down to a price.

Thanks and now I've had chance to give it a good clean it's even nicer.

You're right about the early K Bikes and build quality. I'd go as far as saying that they were over engineered-something I doubt will ever happen again!

Love the pictures of the all the early K bikes.

To balance things out, here are a couple of my new one.

Both bikes look great :-)

How does the build quality of the K100RS compare to your K1300S? I am a K1300R owner myself and have owned the S in the past - both excellent bikes. In terms of finish/rust on a par with a 2009 Ducati I owned a few years back which was reasonable with a bit of attention but I have no experience with BMWs older than 1998.

Ross,

The earlier post was not mine. I went from a 2008 GSA to the K1300S last month.

I was just balancing out the thread :D

You lucky bastard !!!

I had a new K1300S in lava orange in 09.Had to sell it when I upgraded the wife.

Just about to go and collect this little run around though !

Great colours on your new K12S.

They only do the Motorsport colours on new K1300S bikes. They've dropped all other colours.

Bonzo;3951785 though those flashing ABS lights are doing my swede in. Tried a 'middle plug' reset alas to no avail :blast. May solve the problem with some strategically placed duck tape :augie [[/QUOTE said:

Were you coming from queensferry to mold direction yesterday lunchtime? I just bought one and was on the way back with it on a trailer and spotted one like yours. Was a bit surprised as hadn't seen many about before buying mine. Will sort a pic or two out soon.

Coming from a gs, it is beautifully rapid (not had chance to use higher revs yet as I seem to reach the stat limits in the blink of an eye!), though going into 1st still clunks good style (will be starting it in gear I think) And can't get cruise to work ( or even register for that matter, maybe switchgear).

New PR4s fitted so just need to get them bedded in :D
