I like it :beerjug:
..... let's face it no K can be considered a beautiful bike so as the great MikeP said. "You can't polish a turd" .... perhaps best instead to enhance it's ugliness :D

K1200LT

New to me, a 1999 model (the bike, not the Mrs). Anyone fitted a satnav to one of these? If so what mounts did you use?

Ram mount do a specific clutch or brake reservoir mount. And run wires down inside handle bar covers.

My K at Spa last weekend

I've just come back from the Bikers Classic at Spa where I rode my JJ Cobas replica K100.
WHAT A CIRCUIT!!
If you have a Bucket list get a ride at that circuit at the top. A lovely flowing track in a beautiful forest hillside setting.

The bike's looking good! Did you finally get the fuelling sorted? I drew a blank with Dynatech, they asked for certain information which I forwarded
immediately, three weeks later I'm still awaiting a reply!

Were you coming from queensferry to mold direction yesterday lunchtime? I just bought one and was on the way back with it on a trailer and spotted one like yours. Was a bit surprised as hadn't seen many about before buying mine. Will sort a pic or two out soon.

Coming from a gs, it is beautifully rapid (not had chance to use higher revs yet as I seem to reach the stat limits in the blink of an eye!), though going into 1st still clunks good style (will be starting it in gear I think) And can't get cruise to work ( or even register for that matter, maybe switchgear).

New PR4s fitted so just need to get them bedded in :D

Quite possibly it was me :) I work on the Deeside Ind Park and live 5 mins away from the Horseshoe Pass so am quite often in that area either on the K or my F8GS

The cruise only works over 31 mph (50kmh)

I had 2 K100rs's 8 and a 16 valve, 2 K1200rs's, a K1200s and an R, 2 K1100rs's. All of them great, apart from the S which I bought brand new, had a new clutch at 2 months old then a gearbox at 3 months! Apart from that it was great! This was my favourite K.

Now't wrong with the 96 K1100LTSE i had for five years.........It was mechanically faultless, pulled like a train and was comfier than my grandads armchair!

Put over 40k on that bike and you didn't even get wet in the rain, heated grips, ABS and an electric screen aswell:thumb

Aye they're dated, slow and don't handle too well now but you could say that about most of today's bikes in twenty years time.............!

FP.
Bloody good bikes IMOO, wish i'd never parted with either very flexable only prob was that silly small
petrol tank, got about 180 miles and thats yer lot , seemed silly for a touring machine. More reliable than 1200GS's!!!.
