Hi,
I want to fit some Hyperpro springs to my 07 which has Showa shocks. I removed the rear but it isn't like the shocks that I'm used to - normally there's a very obvious way of dismantling after you squeeze the spring down.

So does anyone know of/have a diagram of a Showa shock that shows how to take it apart? I'm sure that there are probably posts with this info but I can't find them

regards

Rear spring removal

I assume that you are compressing the spring - then:-

Undo the grub screw on the collar that the preload adjuster is attached to.

Then slide the collar down towards the compressed spring (ie in the opposite direction that you eventually want it to go)

This should reveal a retaining ring (circlip??).Easy to slide this off.

This allows the collar to come off and the spring tension can be released allowing spring removal.

Hope this helps
