I love my anakees .
Oddly, I've currently got 10k miles from my rear. Reckon I'll get 12k ?
Do one.

I love them so much that my new GSA being delivered next week (if it has them fitted) is getting the Anakee 3's changed before it even turns a wheel on the road .

ISTR that my 1960's and 70's Bridgestone OEM tyres used to last forever without wearing out..

:aidan. :aidan

I did the same, previous experience of noise and grip levels put me off, and my dealer was happy to substitute at no additional cost.

Kin ell, you do know it has a throttle dont cha:nenau

Im getting 4k a pair and they are well fucked.:thumby:

I was waiting for tge throttle comments.
I ride it, and sometimes hard. But most of my miles are done on the continent touring.
Just returned from 3k miles France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Italy (stelvio pass) all along the Mediterranean, Monaco, st Tropez, Spain, Andorra and home.
Still have a couple of thousand k's left on it.
So not just Tescos!

I bet there's a few of us weirdos!
I'll be replacing with the same when they're due.
Last year on my 15 GSA I ragged it round the Nordschleife chased by a fireblade. The tires impressed me when used like that. I can't fault them.

I've put 4K in the 3 months I've owned the GSA, on Annakee 3 tyres, grip well enough for a mortal, and look like they will last OK, What's all the fuss about?

The air intakes on a GSA make more noise than the tyres, and I've never heard anyone complaining of tyre noise on a bike before I came to UKGSer (well the Watercoled section to be precise)

I'm a weirdo as well. I like the A3s and will be replacing the rear with another in about 1000 miles. May think about something else when the front and rear need changing together, but depends on what deals are out there.

Yep! Like um :thumb2 BUT I can't get anywhere near the kind of milage some peeps get. They start to square off around 4/5 tho and loose grip not long after.....AND before anyone starts, my rides are mostly around the Dales making progress....Oh and Maybe a trip or two to Adenau and the Mosel.

Don't know what all the fuss is about, I'm a competent rider....s'pose like most on here BUT I know that it will be my limits reached long before any modern day tyre's

Don't know about "shut up" but although the Anakee 3's are good tyres (I'm a lifelong fan of Michelin) the Conti Trial Attak are better IMO, the tyres just don't suit the Gs or GSA as the road noise is transmitted up through the beak area, it's the bike design in my opinion, also the helmets we use sometimes make it worse by amplifying the noise.
I have a R9 Urban fitted with full on knobbly TCK 80's & they don't make as much noise as the Anakee's..

I'm OK with the Anakees too, although 6k and the rear was squared right off and worn below the wear lines!

Wore mine out in 3k around NW Scotland. I was going to go back to them after a brief go with the otherwise excellent PR4s but the dealer only had Tourance Next and 6500 miles later I'm just about the change the rear.

A3s good; TNs better. But it's all down to personal preference innit.

just because you love them, if you have not tried anything else you will never know if you would love something else more!!!!!!!!
