Side stand removal

And yet another response. Since my '05 R1200ST will be a dedicated sidecar rig, I wanted to remove the sidestand and ran into the same problems noted above. I was able to get a small drift to fit in from the top, placed it on the small hole for a pin to pull out the bearing, talked to it with a hammer, and it finally came out in one piece undamaged. Once I saw what the situation was I thought applying WD-40 and letting it sit overnight would have probably worked well. Then I saw there was a second page to this thread and in the video the poster came up with the same idea. Lesson learned and goal accomplished. I guess this is a maintenance item but more maintenance than I want to do. A no-op now.
