I am sure I am not the only one this affects....

1150GSA fully spammed up with ally top box & panniers + a waterproof roll bag on the seat.

Put it on the side stand and it almost tips over. If it doesn't it seems it is only a few degrees shy of it.

I know it should go on the centre stand to avoid the oil seeping out etc., but has anyone found a cure/solution?

NN says the extenders are not for adventure. What's a guy supposed to do?

Picture not really relevant, but it looks pretty and I can't remember where it was now anyway.

Just the job - should have searched first :o

More money to be spent (on the 'big foot' not the puck) :(

I've used the same ice hockey puck on my last 2 1150ADVs because i'm a....................................................................................................................wait for it .................................................................................................................................................................................................................. cheap skate:guitarist

I did the ICE HOCKEY PUCK mod to my R1200GS and it has made a great difference. I am quite short so its now a lot easier to get the bike from sidestand to riding position while siting on the bike, especially when fully loaded/fueled. The wider area of the puck also makes it more stable when parking on soft ground or gravel.

Just steal a little bit of vesuvious rock from Pompeii and jam it under there when you stop.

Funny you should mention it wanting to fall over, try adding a tank bag and it will!!! I caught it but only just as it was going to fall onto a long line of bikes on the ferry to Stavanger from Newcastle. The guy on the new shiney black BMW next to me went white!!!

"Left turn Clyde!" came to mind. It would have been a real biatch picking it up if it had fell! not to mention the thousands of apologies for every pound of damage I would have done. :tears

Wunderlich side stand extender helped just that little bit but it need some more, I was thinking about a rubber foot rather than plastic as im sure the puc must slide around a little.

I had 5mm machined off the puck for my 1150, as it seemed a bit too vertical.

Yes. I went so far as to bolt an Adventure sidestand to my 1150 AND added a puck. Great on the flat, or if the road dips away to the left. But the slightest upslope and the stand didn't do fully down or the bike was so vertical it was scary to walk away from it. So, I slices the puck in half and now it's perfection.

Nice man at Basingstoke ice rink gave me two old pucks for free! He commented about them being scuffed. When I told him what I planned to do he agreed with me that a few scuffs were irrelevant.

I like he puck idea but didn't have one handy so I have butchered an old (not used against the road !!!) knee slider trimmed to miss exhaust when folded up.
seems to work fine.
