Are 1100 and 1150 single spark heads interchangeable ?

Mates bought an 1150 with a snapped plug in the head.

Plug snapped because it had seized , bike was left laid up outside for years.
He had a few attempts at removing it, involving large bars levers, but no joy, he even attempted to weld a bolt to it, again no joy. It now looks like the head is completely knackered.

Pictures?

I think to take the head off and then break up / drill out / remove as much of the spark plug as possible
then get to the threaded section and cut slots in the threaded part of the spark plug - carefully! you dont want to damage the thread in the head!
One slot maybe enough, but probably two or three
this will releive the pressure between the threads, then with a punch / drift, it may start moveing / loosening
bit of elbow grease and time could save the cost of a new head

Yeah head off loads penetration fluid from other side , leave over night that should help too

Find an engineering outfit and they'll soon have it out.

After much welding drilling and hitting with big hammers and a 3' scaffolding pole the offending item is out.

Slight damage to plug threads but nothing a heli-coil wont fix :bounce1
