Not expecting any interest but thought I would try.
This is the lads 3rd car and his dream car (at the time) he then became an apprentice at Porsche so things changed 😒 he picked up another car last week so this is cluttering up the drive.
From what I've seen and heard this is a sought after car and has the best engine VW ever made, bullet proof and capable of very high BHP while retaining reliability. So 2007

It was owned for many years by a gentleman who was something to do with Skoda rally team and he sold it as being retired for some years he bought a motorhome.
Yes I tried to stop him modifying it but it was his money.
I am led to believe these go up in value and are becoming collectable
It's on auto trader at £4250 but open to offers.

Cracking cars, wheelspin in 3rd if you want it, and from an age where the BHP figures quoted were very conservative to start with. SE was the one to have with the leather interior (the light grey interior on the normal model was a horrible colour for stains). Fab performance, economy and understated looks. Oddly the SE came without ESP. Whilst its a bit nose heavy they are brilliant fun to drive down B roads enabling effortless overtakes.

Couldn't see mileage ?

GLWS.

Not buying, but is this petrol or diesel? I drove a petrol 1.4 vRS many years ago and was taken by the instant reaction to the throttle pedal. :devilish:

Fabulous cars, had three of them. Can only echo the above sentiments.

Mileage at MOT in April was 127k region and these were all diesel, 130bhp as standard.

Hi all, to answer a few questions and apologies for the delay -
Mileage is 130k
No rot
The car was owned for years by an elderly gentleman who was something to do with Skoda rallying, I was chatting with his charming wife while he was showing my lad and his girlfriend his trophies and medals, he gave the lad a rally t shirt and cap.
I drove it properly yesterday on the 82 mile commute to work and was very surprised just how much torque it has, showing 50+ mpg. Was getting a few looks too, only thing I noticed was the tracking needs doing, even the a/c works and remembered he had it regassed and checked at work a few months ago (Porsche) it is not a new car but it's sound and looked after will hold value.

Subwoofer not plumbed in, he never got to it. I will get some interior shots soon as I get time.

Very underrated car but those in the know...knew. Superb cars. GLWS...shouldn't need it I suppose. Pre all the electronic crap everyone moans about, enough shove to be great fun, frugal, reliable, the right size of most folk and most situations.....
