Slovenia - about 1000 miles from Calais !

1278 miles after leaving home - I’m now in Ljubljana.
Stunning riding day today and the Gerloss and Grossglockner passes both worth every penny.
Three beers tonight and the best kebab for 4 euros I’ve ever seen.
Mission accomplished.
A day in the office tomorrow at my factory in Ribicna. 40 minutes away -
Then Wednesday, rinse and repeat the whole thing in reverse.
Life can be such a chore !

A few quick ones - hotel Sonnenheim near Vipiteno a great stop.
In fact all the hotels, booked only a day in advance or even same day at breakfast proved to be excellent

La Cour de Rémi is outstanding - best food I have eaten in 2024 by a long way.
Super friendly hotel.

It’s been a blinding trip - with scorching weather. 37 degrees at one point. Over 28 degrees most days.
Of course, the one time we stopped for an ice cream and bitched about it being just too hot - an hour later on reaching Arabba it hit us with a massive thunderstorm as we rode over the Col di Lana !
Dropped to 12 degrees.
Dont you just love hairpins in a raging torrent and lightning !

My Chinese LED headlight is also full of condensation on the main beam side after the thunderstorm.

Pity as it is without doubt leagues ahead of the old OEM candle in terms of visibility.

And home -
God I hate the UK motorway network!

Anyway, lets finish on a high - Just under 3000 miles and an absolutely fantastic trip.
Thanks to all those who helped with road, route and hotel suggestions. It was much appreciated
