Hi all.
started me bike this morning and it smoked for 20 seconds.i would of thought it was the valve guide seals ?? can anyone confirm please cheers.your any ideas would be helpful..:blast

Was the bke left on the side stand overnight? could be as simple as a little engine oil getting into the L/H cylinder and being burned off. (which is quite normal)

it was the first time but i put on main stand over night and still did it?

Hcan anyone confirm please cheers.your any ideas would be helpful..:blast

It would help knowing the mileage .

But 20 seconds on start up, i wouldn't worry too much. Go back to bed and worry about the credit crunch.

I have an 1150gsa 04 13k and it smokes slightly on start up for about the same time then it is perfect. There is always a wee bit of moisture/water at the end of the silencer so I figure that this is just the moisture burning off. The smoke is white and wispy and dissapears as soon as it leaves the pipe. Is my moisture theory correct? (it always sits on centre stand)

What colour smoke is it?.Blue (oil burning) or black (too rich).
Have you overfilled it with oil (check airbox drain plug).

My 1100 occasionaly used to smoke if left on the side stand, my 1150 has never, same milages, and the 1100 used no oil between services, the 1150 uses a little :rob

mileage is 40000. and it was a bit of oil burning and not moisture will give it a once over tonight.but it doesn't do if left all day only when left all night.
