Having ridden my new bike for some distance this weekend I find myself back at the same old point...NOISE!
I have owned 102 bikes...probably 25+ lids.... and Ive not found a 'great' helmet yet! I have spent £400 on an Arai and less than £100 on a Caberg...they are both rubbish when you cruising at...shall we say...Autobahn speeds.
So for the knowledgeable out there, what I want is:
Safety
Comfort
Flip front (I wear glasses)
Quiet behind a GS screen, enough to hear an Autocom at speed
Sun peak and/or visor
Price is not an issue.......also....does anyone know of a dealer that will let you 'test ride' a lid...let you blast down an M-Way to see how good/bad it is?

I've got a System 4.
It's just as you describe Harv.
Ear plugs.
Simple yellow ones at the moment, until I find someone to do the proper "fitted" ones.

Steve:rolleyes:

I have fitted acrylic earplugs with a venturi that allows speech frequencies through but shuts out most others. They`re not perfect but I could hear radio messages at 60mph and talk to petrol attendants without removing helmet and plugs.

Try the new Schberth flip front, I have been told that it's as quiet as the S1, which is/was market leader in quietness

The quietest!

The quietest helmet I've ever had was the Roof Diversion!

I've never found anything since that equalls it or beats it.

:D
