So how many miles should a clutch work for?

Here is the usual culprit: On an 1150, the seal can be pulled out and replaced from the outside. On an 1100, the gearbox must be opened to replace the seal.

The bike being discussed is a K1200 - the box is not the same as a 1150 or 1100

I know this doesn't help the tech side of things but (don't you hate it when people say that?)
I had 92,000 out of the clutch on my '89 paralever, and my 1100 done 144,000 on the original clutch. However it when through aphase of breaking clutch cables when the operating arm, seized up. And that's a pain to get at!
swinging arm out etc,etc....
Wheras of course on the paralever 5 mins with a spanner and a dab of grease, still that's progress (lol).
