I have always feared the size of Nicks 1150 & never thought that I could manage to ride such a beast, laugh you may but its true. Anyway that all changed today when Nick offered me to ride it again, has done so a couple of times before but I have always declined, just sitting on it felt big and heavy, yes we are still on about the bike We went to a quiet industrial estate nearby where I got the feel of it then I braved it and felt confident enough to ride home. Got home, had a cuppa and a breather then went out again for a little half hr ride, felt great, was fantastic and so pleased that I done it, Nick said I looked good with it and was surprised that I didnt crawl along at 20mph. Now I am just kicking myself that I didnt try it earlier as would of gone for the 1150 instead of my nice new 650
Hey there Ragnar, yes seeing you on your monster 12 gave me inspiration to give nicks 1150 a go....finally, found it nice and easy to ride obviously just a bit heavier on the pickin up from on the side stand and stoppin but was easier than I thought, I have told Nick to look out now as when I go out whose to know which bike I will take. As for the trade in ?.....quite possibly
Colban, the fence was perfectly safe mate, loads of room where we were. Washin up! Got a dishwasher for that chore mate, not got time to stand at the kitchen sink when can be out playing
If you are thinking about a trade-up, check out a 1200 with a low seat. It's much lighter all round, but especially getting it upright off the sidestand with a full tank.
I would love to conncarr & agree with what you say but with 2 of us both loving our bikes, finances wont stretch to the 1200, maybe in a few yrs time but to be fair it will be nicks turn next time anyway so no doubt he will beat me to it & I can borrow it
Janie, like I said as much as I would love to it will have to wait for financial reasons and poor nick deserves a change next time as I have been rather spoilt lately with my bikes Your bike by the way looks lovely
