See post 215..but I don't own a fire pit....Is anyone bringing a fire pit? I can bring a bit of wood, but need to know if I have to get all the nails out.
After looking again at the campsite,,it says all logs must be purchased on site....

I seem to recall something about fires on the ground have to be nail free (for obvious reasons).Just spoke to a lady,on the ground or a firepit they don't mind...

Just run a magnet through the ashes in the morning for the sake of roaming livestock/wildlife hooves and lawnmower blades, sod pulling the nails out.Is anyone bringing a fire pit? I can bring a bit of wood, but need to know if I have to get all the nails out.
I've got a fair amount with no nails, so I'll just bring that. The nail stuff can go in the wood burner at home as usualJust run a magnet through the ashes in the morning for the sake of roaming livestock/wildlife hooves and lawnmower blades, sod pulling the nails out.
I have a large strong magnet on a rope at work I can bring if you like, we use it whenever we drop spanners in the bilges.
