Software Updates

I have had problems recently with my Zumo switching itself off and on randomly, seem to remember there was a software update to cure this. I thought that this might have been done at the annual servicing I had carried out when I bought it in Dec. Spoke to the dealer who said that software updates are not done at the annual servicing. As my bike was purchased with really low miles I am wondering whether it has had any software updates done. Can anyone tell me what has been incorporated on the 1200GS since Dec 04?

How long a list do you want?

Take the bike to a decent dealer and ask them to run it through their diagnostic equipment. They will tell you what updates (if any) and versions of software your bike has installed.

Failing that....check the connections.

I'm confused - are you after software updates for the Zumo (currently v4 I think) or the bike?

Does the Zumo only switch off when it's on the bike?

Does the Zumo show 'Low Battery' then switch off?

etc etc........

Sorry for any confusion. What I was trying to say (not very well) is assuming my bike has not had any software updates since it was first registered in Dec 04 is it missing any critical ones. It's going in for its 6000 in May and I want to know what to ask for.

My bike is on 05, and had this problem. Sorted by a software update in 06, I think.

6000. Must be a typo. Surely must be 60000.
