Most of the engine parts have turned up:D
Unfortunately as is the way with parts suppliers they have managed to balls it up,
So I'm still waiting for the oil bypass valve:blast
So the bottom end will have to wait till next week

The exhaust guides are knackered and it still has the original"soft" exhaust seats in it.
So unleaded conversion :thumb
First up,fetch the old seats out!
A steady hand is needed to run a weld around the old seat,this shrinks it

Some twat had attempted to helicoil the central valve cover thread and made a complete mess.
Drilled completely on the piss:blast
So another job for next week:augie
It's pretty messed up so I'll have to take it out oversize and make a stepped stud:mad:

I am in the "make your own threaded insert" camp, for the repair.
If you still want me to machine the squish areas in the combustion chambers of these heads, it would need to be soon.
Pottering around the Picos in 2 weeks time. :)

I think I'll do the heads myself,good machining practice :D:D
