Something for the weekend sir?

Handle bars are on,
I have fitted newer style switchgear and master cylinder,as the old one was cable operated:barf
And some covers for the fork tops and choke pivot.
I am leaving the choke on the airbox casing as it has the right "look":thumb
Ignore the renthal bar pad cover, that won't be staying on the bike

Forgot all about this thread until now. Loving it. Dont be shy with the pics, I fookin love pics me.:thumb

Great painting pics too, although a bit more detail re stage by stage processes would be very interesting to us plebs re the finer points of your techniques. I appreciate that would take more of your time though. Tell us why you use different colour pinstripe tape....is it thicker as I cant tell from the pics? What filler materials? Is 2 pack used these days? Why is ya last primer coat lightly sprayed black? How did you build up the BMW badge? What was the sequence? What paint do you use? Do you use lacquer and if so what sort? Always nice to know the finer points of the lovely work you do. :clap

And before any clever coont says "Google is your friend", fekk off, I'd rather find out off someone I "know" here. :thumb

If he answered all of those questions you might end up knowing more than him and opening your own paint shop:D

If anyone wants to open their own paint shop then I'm all for it :D ... So much so I'm happy to share a tank painting tutorial from an old thread I wrote. It's post No.53 http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php/363681-Triple?p=3750919&viewfull=1#post3750919

Now then ... back to the bike ;)

I thought the idea was to paint the objects, never seen so much overspray.....................:D
