Sounds from the 2610

Not having the 2610 long I`m still getting use to it, but theres one thing thats now starting to annoy me.
How the hell do you get the female with the soothing voice to give you constant instructions when "speaker" is activated.
It seems that I get one instrcution then nothing but beeps unless I press the Speaker button again, then I get another instruction and then nothing again......
I`ve consulted the owners manual but to no avail, all it appears to tell me is how activate "speak" or how to adjust the volume........HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried reinstalling the voices, I think you use the Garmin WebUpdater utility to do that.

2610 problem

Have you tried pressing Menu, then General tab, then there is a drop down menu on the middle left for Voice.
Set this to "Guidance and Status"
