Anyone been down that way? Hired a bike? Conflicting views on best time of year. Thoughts/experiences appreciated

Was there in April. Hired a car, much cheaper unfortunately. It was hot then, so definitely not for the summer. Santa Fe and Taos were Ok and the Big Bend National Park was nice, Hill Country is Ok, but not many interesting roads for motorcycling in my opinion. Cant help with Baja. For motorcycling I would look towards Colorado and Utah.

Thanks. We did colorado and utah previously😀

We went down the east side but weather wise Texas was perfect in October and Mexico was perfect in November.
BTW perfect for me is hot and dry.

It's also good as a winter ride, but you'd probably want to link it in with other areas such a California, depending how many miles you want to do, and your timescale. Texas is a bit of a grind and usually a means to get somewhere else, again can't speak for baja.
