I'm in process of planning a break in southern Ireland I was about to plot a route using europe city navigate v5 and there is no map detail, what software do I need that will have southern ireland on?
Regards
Noel

Noel, You will have to wait until Navteq finish mapping Southern Ireland (really!) and then wait a little longer for Garmin to include it on there mapping CD. Any one like to make a guess when that maybe?

Noel, exploring Ireland is about like exploring Scotalnd.Prepare for the weather, forget the plans and go where it takes you.
The plan is ...there's no plan...that's the plan..go for it .!

Don't that just p£$%s you off, what did I pay me £700 for this pile of S%^t for? Will have to convert to a map not read one of those for ages and to top it all I'm crap at navigation hence GPS!
OK Moan over:anger:

Noel, as was noted on an earlier thread, Garmin Worldmap has better mapping of Southern Ireland, ie more detailed but not street level mapping, than current versions of City Select and City Navigator, and it doesn’t need unlocking codes.

Ordered a detailed map of the area we are stopping mostly, and v4our (Trevor) Is going to sort out world map for me, Cheers.
I will probably still get lost but I'm on holiday so don't care! Spirit of Adventure!

noel its not that big a place,,all the signs say you are going the wrong way , dont ever stop to ask for directions....'if you are going there i wouldnt start from here ',,etc.. just go and enjoy ,and dont rule out norn iron either...have a good one:beerjug:
