Soz... gone Orange

It certainly looks a good job and as long as the owner is happy then all is well.

But, even though it's a bit of a stereotype, certain colours are associated with certain brands. Green is Kawasaki, Orange is KTM etc...

Come on then, show us all your "stock, out of the showroom, same as everyone elses"bike!

Hey, don't shoot me down. I was asked for an opinion so I gave it. Nothing looks good in orange......even an orange:P

I like it. Lets face it, most of us guys on here are obsessed with nailing extra bits to their bikes, including me, thus making them non standard. This gentleman has just gone a bit further. :thumb2

Very very nice, with it being Mexico orange it is crying out for a black stripe off set to one side running down the beak and the tank, like the old escorts.

I think your memory is playing tricks on you - Mk1 Escort Mexicos didn't have a bonnet stripe. They had side stripes and stripes along the sides of the roof - nothing on the bonnet or boot lid. Neither would transfer well to the GS tank IMO.

Mk2s didn't have any stripes to speak off - just a double pin stripe meeting in a 'flash' at the back of the rear wings.

OK, I'll get me coat (anorak/rally jacket)

So you can see what I did with the 'all black' GS stickers? :augie :D

Back in the 80's I lived by a guy that had and old mk1 Mexico with the bubbled wheel arches and an off-set stripe with a pin stripe either side on the bonnet roof and boot. I always thought it was standard, but he must of had it done himself. It looked feckin great.

Nah... my hairs too short, besides I'd never get my toes into those pointy shoes :blast

Then along with the suit you'll need one of these wigs as well...

It looks like a good match for the above leisure suit!

Thats actually really nice. There's been some really dodgy paint schemes on here, but this one makes me wonder why bmw didn't offer it, it really seems to suit the bike. :thumb2:thumb2

But why no roundels, it looks like there are empty depressions for them? :nenau
