Hi Folks

Does anybody have the part No for a sparkplug cover on a 99' 1100GS, it says 4-valve in silver writing, the one I had ordered from BMW is totally different, the 4-valve is in black and it looks like it should have came off a RS.

cheers

Try these no's ?? L= 11141342979 R=11141342980
don't shoot the messenger........

cheers cookie thats the site I couldn't find.

Nothengit that the part No's that BMW gave me but the cover is different, instead of the lettering raised and in silver it's engraved and in black, so it looks totally different, and I only need the LH one so I don't want to buy 2 because BMW can't be arsed to keep on old design's

can anybody confirm if these covers have been redesigned or was it just a case of the wrong stock ID on the part that I received?

cheers

Hi Roddy,
I had the same thing happen last year when my 1100 fell over, busted one of the original covers and as you say the replacements different. But you can only see one side of the bike at a time! Also none of my nit picking mates has said anything either when they've been kicking tyres so I've not worried about it. In fact until I read your post I'd forgotten all about it.

Hi Roddy
The number on my, albeit '98 GS cover is 11141341265 its also got PA66-GF30 on the next line and according to the moulding date was manufactured in April 98. just to emphasise this the one with '4valve' on it. I can confirm that this is for the left hand (nearside) cover.
Cheers BV
