Well done to Chilli Heated Clothing!!!

So... SPC cant send something as small as a thermometer to a BFPO address.........but...........

Chilli Heated Clothing can send me a heated waistcoat special delivery in 3 days............ Now thats what I call excellent service and excellent customer relations.
Sean and his team at Chilli run a proffessional slick operation, they have no problem with my BFPO address!!
WELL DONE LADS,
and it's a brilliant piece of kit too!! Perfect fit.

Also...

Rainbow motorcycles are sending me a complete BMW heated grips kit through the BFPO system, they also have no problem with BFPO. WELL DONE LADS!!!

Cant give you SPC's view as they still havnt replied to any of my emails!!

Even "Bob" the manager hasn't replied!! Even after e-mailing him this page.
This really isnt good enough SPC!!!

Cheers Nick

You received my cheque alright then?
I dont need a thermometer at the moment because I know it's damn hot here.
34oC today!!!!!!
I need it for my winter trip home across the Alps!
Looking forward to it.

Well after ringing & leaving messages with SPC (also sent SPC email), Cooper reading & Park lane none of them could be bothered to reply, thanks guys, good to see BM* customer service is as crap as the rest. Really wanted to give Park lane the custom as they were really good at sorting my warranty work.

So my custom is going to North Oxford as they worked out about £60 cheaper than Vines.

“Re: On-line order of Top Yoke Thermometer

It has recently been brought to my attention that you have had a problem with an on0line order from our web site.

First of all may I apologise for the confusion, which has arisen from this order, and at the same time explain our company policy regarding sending goods abroad.

It is neither practical nor cost effective for us to send BMW or Wunderlich parts abroad as, in our experience, most customers are unwilling to pay the extra cost of overseas postage.

We therefore have a policy of only despatching goods to the UK mainland.

This, however, does not apply to you or anyone with a BFPO address.

As an ex armed forces member I am well aware of the situation, having used the services many times. Unfortunately the parts assistant who responded to your request was not.

As a measure of goodwill I have instructed the parts department to forward the item to you immediately with our compliments.

At SPC our customer satisfaction is paramount and most of the time we get it right.

Once again I would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

With Kind regards

Thank you Robert.

I'm so glad this has been resolved.
It's amazing that the Director of a company needs to step in before any action is taken.
More companies need to realise that BFPO address are entitled to the same level of service as people in the UK.

Good effort:thumb

People screw up, that's human - I judge a dealer/vendor by how they deal with the aftermath, and I think SPC have behaved extremely well in this case...

Now thats what its all about.

I was sure that Bob would opperate that way, and if other bussiness don`t they are fools.

Its all about service, and as far as I have seen SPC do come up trumps.

These pages should be read by dealers, to gauge there bussiness and they must not veiw them as a knocking shop.

As there is always two sides to any story as we all know.

HOPE I MAKE SENCE AS I KNOW WHAT I`M ON ABOUT.

good old Robert, Bob, Bobert, Rob, Job, Jot,

oh , you know who i mean

Credit Due...

I'm a great believer in"Credit where credit is due" and SPC (Bob) have come good (in the end).
So credit to them.

It's good to see that some dealers do pay attention to public oponion, a good lesson for any up and coming businessman would be..."The pen (or keyboard) is mightier than the sword".
