Right - I kept this one quiet for a while!

This happened to me whilst I was on a short trip in early August. I never knew how fast the GS could be!!!

It took weeks to be replaced as the part was delayed from Germany (and the new one has a different part number compared to the original that failed).

Yes the whole unit was replaced. I was surprised not to read anything about this on here to be honest.
 
Ha, if only - this was taken last week when it was sub zero again, after arriving at work. It is better in the photo than when I got it out the garage about an hour earlier though....anyway, 2nd one on order....

I have seen this just once on my bike - was a cold morning after washing it the day before - if it happens again I might have word with the dealer - I took a couple of pics as evidence if needed.

mine too... and I'd not put water near the dash area for over two months...

Also had total dash failure on second day of ownership...

Mine was after a ride on one of the warmest days this year and was half way across the dash...but couldnt get pic till at home..
