I desperately need a KPH -> MPH overlay for a GS ADV.
Do they exist?
And if so, where?
Cheers

Or buy a decent bike??![]()
Buy a GPS and get an average illuminated display.
Or alternatively learn to convert KPH to MPH
50kph = 31mph
100KPH = 62.5mph
Divide kph readings by 8 and then multiply by 5.
I have a kph speedo and sometimes pass the time on boring roads by converting the KPH to MPH
Sad I know

SVA test states that the major gradations should be in MPH. If it's metric it must be an import ? GS ADV is less than 3 years old, so no MOT required......I'm confused....![]()
It's a 02 Adv 1150 from Switzerland - so it is 4 years old.
I am hoping the 1200 Bandit overlay I have just bought from e bay can be adapted to fit. It's looks like the dimensions will be ok
Oooops I almost forgot, if it's less than 10 years old it's going to need a SVA test prior .......
Give me a ring if you get stuck,spend most of our time at the sva station sorting out harley choppers from the statesAnd what is that ...?
And even though it comes from Swizzy - which nods it's head in the direction of the EU?

are u saying that when u went to VOSA with a KPH clock they didn't even notice or care that u had a KPH speedo? The issue I have is I am going to the inspection place specifically to get a certificate/registration to legalise my GS for UK roads. I have already chaged headlight, but am told a KPH conversion to MPH is essential.My GS has passed all its MOTs without an overlay.
I do not think they even notice and I do not tell them
It is a 1999 GS.
