SPIII or Quest

Personally, I would lean towards the Quest, simply because it is newer and faster,
I bought a Quest and have no problems with the screen even tho, according to this site, at 54 I'm well over the hill - varifocals are the answer.
One thing I did find that if the thing hangs for some reason it is worth knowing that holding down Power and In does a soft reset. :)

I think the point about gloves is this: You can operate the Quest with gloves on (it has a touch-sensitive screen), but the screen is quite small, and you have to be very precise with your touches. This can be difficult when you are actually riding the moto.

The GPSRs that have larger touch-sensitive screens are a bit easier to use when you are riding, simply because the 'buttons' are bigger, and spaced further apart.

There seems to be a lot of SP3's on ebay at the moment, all "new" or refurbished. Could be a "cheap" way of getting CN EU v8 if you have an "overseas" 2610 etc :mmmm

The USA etc don't seem to have the same number for sale.

Not to mention if you plan buy a a new 276C or a 60Cx.

Buying also the SP3 would give you not only the CN8 map but also 128 MB map memory (for the 276C) and the SP3 for your wife's car. :thumb
