Mine were going rusty so I did a search on here and it seemed wire wool and wd40 was the key....

After about an hour of leisurely cleaning they came up like new  I had even ordered some from Vines because I though they were knackered. Needn't have bothered.

So then I thought I would do the rest of the bike

Then I went out for a ride..... lurvely and dry and sunny :D

You would be suprised just how easy the wire wool cleans them up.

I had a go when I first got the bike with a cloth and Autosolve but never really got anywhere.

Give it a go......

If you want to see obssesive take a look at Tarkas bike, I'm sure the muppet cleans the inside of his tyres :(

I'm sure the muppet cleans the inside of his tyres

only after he's ironed his curtains, polished the carpets, tidied everything into its box and hoovered his girlfreind. :mmmm

.....and got angry about a thread in the wrong place on t'internet :)
