How does a guy remove the broken spokes from a GSA wheel. These bastard things are stuck like nails! I have several that need to be removed.

Cheers and Happy New Year. :beerjug:

Have a look on youtube there is on of a person doing just that , with a small drift to knock the part out .

If they are seized in place (as most are) they are truly absolute bastards to get out.

I stripped one for a rebuild two weeks ago, took 4 hours to get all of them out,:blast
Use a hot air gun to heat the rim ,then twist with mole grips till they release.
Once you get 15mm sticking out from the rim get a cordless drill on the end and spin them out:D
Here's one I did earlier:P

So, mikeyboy, how much would a pair of wheels cost? :nenau :bow

Thank you Mikeyboy! That's a good lookin wheel. I had the rear of my bike ran over and now I have a spare wheel set that needs a re-lace.
Cheers!:beerjug:

Too much!!
Spokes @£200
Powder coat@£100
Labour£100 per wheel to build
So £500 for the pair:comfort
Stripping not included:P

Tempting! Do you reuse the front wheel bearings?
Also, my spokes are still shiney, if I strip them and polish up the old spokes would you reuse them or put new ones in? Or both if I bugger some up?
