Sports Touring for 2015 GSA

This has probably been asked a million times so I'll don the flame proof suit.

I have a 2015 GSA, need to fit new tyres before a tour. I will never use them off road so looking at sports touring tyres. Longevity isn't the primary concern, need something which handles well in the dry and wet.

Before I buy another set or Pilot Road 4 Trails does anyone have any other suggestions?

You like PR4s? Buy them again. Or PR5s. Not that much out there that’s better IMO.

Road 5 !

Last longer and grip as well, 40% worn as PR4 does new.

Good deals on PR4; so I'd go for them, as a tight fisted scotsman.

They make sizes for the Hexhead so I assumed (I know, I know) that they would for the LC as well.

See if the new Avon Spirit ST is available in the correct size.

If the Trailrider is anything to go by, I would fully expect their sport touring tyre to be class leading also.

I’ve had Anakees, Tourance Next and now PR4s.

I really like the Tourance but they didn’t last well, 4500-5000 tops and I’m careful although do a bit with a pillion. The PR4s are noisier than the Tourances but seem to be wearing a bit better.

I had Dunlop Roadsmart 3 fitted a few weeks ago and they are really quiet, smooth and confidence inspiring.
Only done a thousand miles so far but loving them and they came highly recommended.

IINM, the Pirelli Scorpion Trail 2 uses the same compounds as Angel GT. PST2 is my favourite tyre for the GS.

I'm running the Roadtec 01 now but going to try the Pirelli Scorpion Trail 2 next.
