Despite everything on my P.C being up to date, I seem to have picked up a nasty piece of spyware called " Spyaxe" It keeps resetting my home page, and constantly informs me via a bubble on the bottom toolbar that " Your computer is infected....dangerous malware....etc....etc....click to protect your computer".....can't help thinking that would creat more problems. Have run Spybot, Adaware without success. It actually changes the page I am looking at.

I would be very grateful if any of you guys could help me get rid of it.

Cheers

I have got both Microsoft antispyware, and spyware blaster and this b*****d got past both of 'em....will give it my fullest attention in the morning. I do appreciate your interest, and will let you know how I got on

Cheers.

Jonnie, run Trend Housecall which you can do from this link

It's free to use and should detect and fix any stuff missed by Adaware or the Microsoft AntiSpyware. I usually run it every 7/8 weeks just to clean up any crap that the other sweepers didn't get.

Schtum and Aiden1150

Thanks to a combination of the advice you gave me, plus a phone call to Evesham ( after a number of system file error messages ) I am now virus/spyware free :thumb ...........................for now

Thanks again gents.
