This problem occured a few months ago and I thought it would just fade with wear. Unfortunately it has not and is driving me nuts. I don't suffer from any lack of braking force, it just squeals as I brake. I havent done anything other than wash the bike so no polish or wd40 near the pads or discs.
Anyone else had this problem ?

Mine also squeal a hell of a lot but have gotten use to it. Definitely alot noisier that my previous single 650!

Mine let's out a squeaker intermittently when I brake, it's usually a sign that the brakes are working :-)

No problems with the front, but the back was driving me nuts. Pinned it down to really dry days with lots of braking. Just changed the disk and pads and the last hot day it started doing it again!

hi all,

my BM's have always seemed to do this on and off, I have put it down to the OEM pads being sintered metal- and the squeak is just another bit of metal becoming exposed in the pads as they wear:nenau

When I got mine initially I didn't get the squealing, but now it happens every time I brake

I thought it was down to me getting some of the bike cleaning spray on the discs, although I tried to keep away from them for obvious reasons.

I don't like the squealing either

Mine squeal too after I cleaned then with a dergreaser - got silicone grease all over when I was changing the tyre...
