I Got a 2010 GSA and have last couple of month experienced some Strange squeeling Sound from "somewhere under the tank".

The sound comes when I push the bike forward, and activate the breakes.
It is not the suspension, since I can not get the sound when I activate the suspension alone.

The dealer had never heard it before (as they always says)....:aidan

Any ideas??

that's a feature that is.... the 1150 lacked such a feature.... a great improvement in my opinion....

I hear 1200's being pushed along my street now....:D 1150 just get ridden past... making a nice sort of Vrooom ish sort of noise.... which seems to mainly come from the exhaust....

honest answer I have no idea, give it some pikey tuning.....thrash the nuts off it... see what sort of noise it makes then....:thumb2

The only thing beneath the tank related to the brakes is the ABS modulator which I believe contains a small motor (as opposed to the old style servo ABS pump which contained a huge motor).

Perhaps it is this which is squeaking ??

I had the impression that the ABS didn't do anything under a certain speed, lets say 5km/h....or?

And I have only noticed it at very slow speeds, parking and such....

Do you have the ignition on when this happens? If so, see if it still happens with the ignition off. Like your previous correspondent, I suspect you're hearing the normal workings of the power assisted brakes, which is normally drowned-out by engine and road noise.

Both with and without!!
