Squeeky noise from front of engine at Tickover

When my 2002 single spark 1150gs is idling there is an odd squeek coming from behind the front cover of the engine, it's as though something is running dry?? What isbehind the cover ( about sameheight as the bottom wishbone)

And should I be worried??

Check/replace/adjust your alternator belt

That said, a Haynes or Clymer manual costs buttons really and is a very good (or even essential) investment if you intend to do your own spannering...

Thanks for your help.......again!!! i whipped the cover off and yep it was a bit loose, a quick fettle and job done
