So the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics show at Stafford will soon be upon us. I did think I wouldn't bother with another show this year but I might wander up to this one.
The Bonhams auction seems to have a lot bikes, mainly Japanese with a nice collection of Hondas and a few Brits. Lot 366 is a one owner zero milage Norton Rotary classic with a guide of £9000-£12000. I find it strange anyone can own a M/C since 1988 and not have ridden at all. It will be interesting to see what the prices are like: I thought the prices for a lot of the junk in this year's Weston Super Mare show were mental: a total derelict Sunbeam S7 with no paper work and unoriginal engine giving the highest bidder about 10p change from £5000 after buyers premium and VAT being a good example. A lot of the M/Cs at that auction were in poor condition and/or unoriginal but fetched silly money imho
Anyone else intending to go along to the show next weekend?
